Agarrate, Gloria Trevi's Tour
Hearing classic pop and rock can make you remember some good times. Gloria Trevi rocked the stage with the 2013 Agarrate tour this past Friday Feb. 1 at the Laredo Energy Arena. The concert started at around 9 p.m. and fans from all over both Laredos and nearby towns came to see the Latin singer fill the stage with energy.
The crowd grew impatient to see superstar Gloria Trevi and the clock spinned fast, but people were still arriving. Many fans carried cardboards with messages for Trevi and the arena was covered with sparkles, it wasn't the stage lights, but cameras ready to capture the moment when Gloria would make her great entrance.
Finally, the concert started, and as expected by many fans, Trevi was full of energy. She used about six different shiny outfits throughout the show. Never worrying about how tall her high heels were, she jumped, ran, and danced in the stage along with the dancers who accompanied her. Singing the bestsellers from her recent and old albums, she transformed from a sexy girl, to a superhero, to woman with an elegant wardrobe. Some of these hits included "Todos me miran," "Cinco Minutos," "Soledad" and a mix of her old hits such as "Zapatos viejos," "Pelo suelto," "Papa sin Catsup," "Hoy me ire de casa," "Que voy hacer sin él," and "Me siento tan sola," to which the public sang along with her.
Not hesitating to speak openly, the typical Gloria Trevi gave advice regarding relationships to all girls, and making the boys understand the real thing about this topic. The audience loved it and the loud applause was heard. Trevi showed the love for her audience and several times expressed that they were the ones who were always there for her. Two of her fans were even able to go up on stage and take a photo with her in the middle of the concert, of course, they showed excitement. She finished the concert very watery and acting crazy by singing "Dr. Psiquiatra" and throwing water at the audience, provoking a crazy energetic response.
The regiomontana superstar moved to Mexico City when she was only 12 years old. When meeting her ex-manager, Sergio Andrade, she became a hit with "Dr. Psiquiatra" in 1989. Throughout the years, she developed a her talent and became very famous. In 2000, Trevi was arrested along with Sergio Andrade and Maria Raquenel Portillo, but in 2004 all charges of abuse were cleared because of lack of evidence. After all the problems she had faced, finally, she reconstructed her life in 2009 by marrying Armando Gomez and attempted to revive her career. She now has been nominated for several awards and has continued her life by starting a family. Her latest album was released last year which brings us to her most recent tour, Agarrate.
